The Aura: Looksmaxxing & PSL Scale app ("the App," "we," "us") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The App is designed to minimize data collection and stores all processed results locally on your device.
1. Information We Collect and Process
The App does not require account creation, so we do not collect or store email addresses, names, or other direct personal identifiers.
1.1 Photos, Face Data, and Personal Imagery
When you use the AI face analysis feature, we process the face photos you capture, which contain sensitive personal data (e.g., facial features, skin tone, and other identifiable characteristics). We process this data only with your explicit consent and strictly for the purpose of running the AI analysis feature.

2. Use, Sharing, and Storage of Personal Image Data
2.1 Planned Use and Sharing with Third Parties
Your image data is used strictly for the functionality you initiate:
AI Face Analysis (Core Feature): The face photo is transmitted as input to the OpenAI API (GPT-4.1-mini, powered by OpenAI) through our secure API proxy to perform the requested AI-powered facial analysis. The App does not use Apple's Face ID, ARKit face tracking, or any biometric authentication APIs.
Result Generation: The output from the API is used to generate facial metric scores (jaw definition, cheekbone prominence, eye symmetry, skin clarity, hairline depth, and others) as well as a PSL attractiveness rating and personalized grooming recommendations, which are then displayed to you in the App.
Crucial Sharing Assurance: The face photo is sent to the OpenAI API, acting as our data processor. In line with OpenAI's public policies for API usage, data sent via the API is not used by OpenAI to train or improve their AI models by default. We rely on OpenAI's commitment that the data is only processed to fulfill your request. OpenAI's Privacy Policy applies: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Purpose Limitation: Face data is never used for identification, advertising targeting, or any purpose beyond the in-app cosmetic analysis you initiate.
2.2 Storage Duration and Location (Retention)
We implement a policy of data minimization for all sensitive raw image data.

No Server Storage: We do not operate any cloud database that retains your face photos or analysis results. If you delete the App from your device, all locally stored data (including saved scans) will be deleted as well.
3. Your Rights and Control
Deletion: You have full control over your stored scans. You can delete any or all analysis results at any time within the App settings. Deleting a scan removes both the stored photo and the associated analysis data from your device.
No Persistent Identifiers: Because we don't maintain accounts, we do not store any persistent data that could be used to identify the individual behind the scans. Face photos are never linked to biometric templates, used for authentication, or shared with advertisers.
Consent: Camera access and face photo capture are always user-initiated. The App will never capture or transmit a photo without your explicit action.
