This Privacy Policy explains how Identify Anything ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
The App is provided by eFeat Digital ("we"). If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at efeatdigital@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
a) Information you provide
Photos you capture or upload to be analyzed (for object identification, weight/size estimation, counting, plant or coin identification, shopping lookup, or text translation).
Feedback or support requests you send us by email.
b) Purchase information
When you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through our payment provider RevenueCat. We receive a randomly generated, anonymous app user ID and your subscription status. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
c) Technical information
Basic device information necessary to operate the App and process purchases (e.g., platform, app version, and an anonymous identifier used by RevenueCat).
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
3. How your information is stored
Your saved scans (including the photos and their results) are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to or retained on our own servers.
Photos you scan are transmitted to a third-party AI provider solely to generate a result (see Section 4). After processing, we do not store your photos on our servers.
4. AI image processing
To generate a result, the photo you submit is sent over a secure connection to a third-party artificial-intelligence service (OpenAI) via our processing proxy. The image is used only to produce the result returned to you (for example, identifying the object or translating visible text). Your photos are not used by us to train AI models. Please review OpenAI's privacy practices for details on their handling of data submitted through their API.
Note: Some photos may contain text or personal information (for example, in Translate Text mode). Only submit images you are comfortable processing through a third-party AI service.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
Provide the core features of the App (analyze a photo and return a result);
Process and manage subscriptions and reviewer/test access;
Respond to support and feedback requests;
Maintain the security and proper functioning of the App.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to operate the App:
OpenAI – processes submitted images to generate results.
RevenueCat – manages subscription status and entitlements.
Apple App Store / Google Play – process payments and subscriptions.
Legal compliance – we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
7. Data retention and deletion
Saved scans remain on your device until you delete them in the App ("My Scans" → delete) or uninstall the App.
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

8. Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because most of your data is stored only on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly within the App. For other requests, contact us at efeatdigital@gmail.com. We do not sell personal information.
9. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections for image processing, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International data transfers
Image processing and subscription management may involve transferring data to service providers located in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
